The NREN community has a substantial and increasing reliance on open-source software, produced both by ourselves and external to our community.
This session aims to gather (NREN) strategy makers to discuss collective strategic approaches to the resulting challenges and opportunities
Aspects of this discussion include:
• long term financial sustainability an governance of NREN open source
• examples of what works and what failed
• how to influence and improve (security of) open source software relevant for our infrastructures
• how to contribute to long term sustainability of open source software external to our community but of high relevance and with a high impact if it deteriorates
The meeting convenors will organise an introduction to the discussion.
