The talk will highlight the outcomes of the collaboration between ASNET-AM (Armenian NREN) and MAREN (Malawian NREN), focusing on specialized training and technical support to bolster the NREN's capacities, sustainability, and proficiency. ASNET-AM's technical assistance to MAREN aimed to enhance operational efficiency and technological capabilities, ultimately reinforcing the sustainability and effectiveness of NREN operations.
Participants in the training received comprehensive instruction on utilizing High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructures, implementing Big Data methodologies, and applying data analytics techniques. This empowered them to extract actionable insights from large datasets relevant to weather/climate modeling and remote sensing applications.
Furthermore, the collaboration emphasized using Copernicus data to enrich participants' understanding and utilize Earth observation resources for improved decision-making and scientific advancements. Training initiatives also focused on equipping participants with strategic approaches for raising awareness, engaging stakeholders, and securing funding. These efforts fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration, amplifying the impact of NREN services within their respective communities.
