Description
The interest in fibre sensing has grown substantially over the last few years in the NREN community. Having started off with 8 NRENs having and interest in 2023, 21 now have registered their interest in 2025. This session will be a tour of the new fibre sensing service which is being developed by NRENs for NRENs, as well as looking at impact and use case examples from around the world and a panel discussion on some of the challenges and proposed methodologies being investigated to tackle secure release of data in a FAIR and Open Science way.
