It is hard to imagine a world without new media technologies. In my life, for example, podcasts play an integral part: They entertain me, help me stay informed and teach me about different topics on the go. And I am not alone: A [2025 global study by the international research firm YouGov][1] shows that two out of five people listen to podcast episodes at least one hour per week. So why not use a podcast for science communication?
What will the TNC audience take away from your talk?
Using the format of a podcast episode and breaking down a complex legal matter into key messages for the research community helps to inform a broader audience. This can be translated to other areas going from cybersecurity to business management. Sharing knowledge without the barrier of formal language has a wide-scale reach and helps to empower others.
