Ladok, Sweden's national student information system, has reached two key milestones that we wish to share: implementing mandatory account confirmation in accordance with the REFEDS Assurance Framework and introducing Account Linking, which enables international students to retain access to Ladok after returning home and losing access to their Swedish university account. In this presentation, we will share our experiences and outline the requirements for home universities to support Account Linking. We hope our journey will inspire others to adopt the international interoperability profiles necessary to implement similar features in other systems. The primary target audience includes IT architects, Identity Management administrators at universities, as well as developers of Student Information Systems and other services with international users.
