We're networkers - good at managing dependencies. But what about non-technical dependencies and need for service-related evolution? We have to go with the market flow and we have very little control or choice. This is daunting. These are forces far bigger than we are. What can we do? It's not as hopeless as it looks. Join us to explore dependencies up and down the NREN business model - from deep-level technical to high-level strategic - and when/how services can evolve. We can't do everything, but much like BCP drills - we can position ourselves to be ready for the next big surprise.
What will the TNC audience take away from your talk?
Dealing with the wider industry right now is daunting. We're going to try to crack that. Technical audiences and individual contributors will see how their work sits in the industry as a whole, and what they can do to affect that. Audience members who are managers or executives will get just enough detail to see how the overall outcome is affected by seemingly minor decisions.
