Description
Network visibility has always been one of the most requested network features by RedCLARA users. The idea to be aware of everything moving within and through the network should define the new normal. With this concept in mind, RedCLARA Network Engineering Group (NEG) and Systems Engineering Group (SEG) have built the Integrated Monitoring Portal (IMP). Its goal is to become the best network monitoring and visualization tool for Latin American NRENs, where users can visualize and analyze network traffic, flows, latency, packet errors, BGP information like state, uptime, accepted and denied prefixes, service availability, network alerts among many others.
What will the TNC audience take away from your talk?
The TNC audience will come away with a clear understanding of how RedCLARA’s Integrated Monitoring Portal (IMP) consolidates modern monitoring, visualization, and diagnostic capabilities into a single platform designed specifically for the needs of Latin American NRENs. They will learn how comprehensive network visibility - spanning traffic flows, performance metrics, routing behavior, backbone status, threats, and service availability - enables more informed decisions, faster troubleshooting, and proactive network management.
Attendees will also gain insight into the architectural choices and tools evaluated by RedCLARA’s engineering teams, see practical examples of how IMP supports daily operations (including real-time diagnostics via integrated SSH tools), and understand how this approach can be adapted or applied within their own NREN environments. Ultimately, they will leave with a broader perspective on how a unified visibility platform can enhance operational efficiency, security awareness, and user experience across research and education networks.
