Description

This presentation explores how DevOps automation can be used to build digital systems that remain reliable when things go wrong, combining robust technology with the right engineering mindset. Framed around Digital Sisu, it acknowledges that failures such as outages, bugs, and human error are inevitable and must be expected in system design. Drawing on real-world NREN experience, the session highlights how Infrastructure as Code, observability, automated testing, and self-healing mechanisms help infrastructures recover and adapt under pressure. Resilience is presented not only as uptime, but as intentional design, collective responsibility, and sustaining reliability over time.

What will the TNC audience take away from your talk?

Attendees will gain strategies to apply Digital Sisu in DevOps, learning how to design resilient systems that treat failure as a learning opportunity, leverage automation and observability for reliability, and build courageous, collaborative engineering cultures. They will leave inspired to see resilience not just as a technical outcome, but as a mindset that drives sustainable, long-term digital growth in line with the TNC26 vision.
