Description
At TNC 2025, RENU (Uganda) and RNP (Brazil) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking the beginning of a South–South collaboration between two National Research and Education Networks. One year later, this lightning talk reflects on what happened after the signature. The talk briefly presents how the partnership evolved from a formal agreement into concrete collaboration, including joint planning, capacity building, technical exchanges, and the first steps toward shared infrastructure and mobile networks–related initiatives. It highlights key lessons learned, challenges faced when working across regions and contexts, and what proved essential to turn an MoU into real outcomes. By sharing this one-year journey, the talk aims to inspire other NRENs to view MoUs not as an endpoint, but as a starting point for sustainable and impactful international collaboration.
