Description
Security in the eduroam login has been, and currently still is, a challenge.
Most eduroam providers still rely on passwords to authenticate the users, and need to provide their users with instructions how to set up their devices securely. While the Web makes a move towards passwordless authentication, eduroam still relies mostly on passwords. To address the challenges of current eduroam logins we leverage a passwordless solution the Web is currently excited about - Passkeys.
What will the TNC audience take away from your talk?
The TNC audience will learn about the possibility of using Passkeys in eduroam login as an early sneak-peek.
We hope to raise general awareness to adopt the technology around Passkeys for other use cases than web and motivate people to collaborate and help make this idea a reality.
