Speaker
Description
When did you last access an atomic clock via a US military system? Probably less than a minute ago - through your phone. Today, I want to show how Europe is building another way.
Every time your phone synchronises time or determines its position, it quietly relies on GNSS, primarily GPS and Galileo, delivering access to atomic clocks in space. These systems are at the basis of everything from mobile networks and finance to transport, science, and emergency services. Yet they remain vulnerable: to jamming, spoofing, interference, and geopolitical risk.
What will the TNC audience take away from your talk?
• GNSS and Europe’s atomic-clock infrastructure
• White Rabbit as an open timing standard
• GÉANT’s long-haul incubation programme
• The emerging vision of a public, resilient, fibre-based PNT capability
| Are you a first time speaker at TNC? | No |
